FAQ

What is online giving?

Online giving is the ability to give a donation or schedule a series of donations using your debit card, credit card, or bank account.

Are there any hidden charges or fees to give online?

Nope. You select the dollar amount for your gift. That is the dollar amount that will be recognized as your donation. No costs or fees.

Where does my giving go?

Your giving supports our efforts to see more and more lives changed by Christ. Your giving does matter and makes a significant difference in the many lives that are impacted by LCBC. We strive to be good stewards of all that God has given us so you can be confident in your giving to LCBC. If you are a regular part of LCBC, copies of our most recent audited financial statements can be obtained by emailing us or by contacting the Accounting Office at 717-928-2155.

Is online giving safe? is your site secure?

Yes!  The security of your personal information and data is incredibly important to Pushpay, the giving platform LCBC has chosen.  Your payment method details are tokenized and stored on industrial grade servers where the info is encrypted. View the Pushpay Security Overview for more details.

What is a contribution schedule?

This is similar to a subscription. You can choose how often you would like an automatic donation to be made – weekly, every two weeks, twice monthly (e.g. on the first 1st & 16th) or monthly.

Can I use my debit card or credit card?

Yes. We accept any debit or credit card issued by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

If we want to help people get out of debt, why does LCBC accept credit card donations?

Used within the parameters, debit and credit cards can be an efficient tool for payments and purchases. Many people utilize them in place of checks or cash throughout the month, and then pay off the balance in full. For these people, we offer the option of using a debit or credit card to give. We strongly discourage those who have ongoing credit card debt from exercising this option.

Can I use an electronic check?

Yes, simply choose the “Personal Check” option when selecting the way you’d like to give by. Note that electronic charges can only be made through personal checking account, but not business accounts.

How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?

Giving history can be viewed at anytime by logging into your account and viewing your transactions.

How do I get a contribution statement?

Annual contribution statements are mailed to you at the closing of each calendar year by mid-February. You also have the ability to download a PDF of your giving statement through your PushPay account.

Can I give online to the One Life campaign?

Yep, just select "One Life (Campus Expansion)" in the "Give to …" drop down menu.

Can I post a recurring donation to a campus General Fund as well as to One Life?

Yes. Just go ahead and set up your recurring gift to the campus general fund of your choice. Before continuing to the Giving Schedule, you can select "Add Another" and set up another recurring gift.

What if I want to change my online giving schedule or stop it?

In the My Giving section of your PushPay Account, click the "Schedules" tab. Here you’ll have the ability to edit or stop it.

How should I tithe if my income varies from pay period to pay period?

Depending on which is more feasible for your situation, you can handle tithing with a fluctuating income in a couple different ways. Some people choose to give exactly one-tenth of their earnings for each individual pay-period. Others estimate their total earning for the year and give a portion of the total tithe each week or month throughout the year.
