In 2017 LCBC Coal Township began in a home with sixteen people and their families, rapidly growing into a Community Gathering. In March 2018, we opened our current location across from Walmart in Coal Township, PA, where we continue to be a part of the Northumberland County community.

Crystal Hoover
Location Lead
Crystal was born and raised in the Coal Region, in the city of Shamokin. She graduated from Messiah College in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. A year later, she married her husband, Vince, who was a teacher in the suburbs of Philadelphia. They moved to the Harrisburg area in 2007 and got involved in LCBC Harrisburg’s launch. In 2013, she and Vince moved back to the Shamokin area with a desire to see lives changed there. Crystal and Vince started hosting a small group in their home, which has since grown into what is now LCBC Coal Township. Crystal came on staff in September 2019 to continue leading the location.
In addition to seeing lives changed by Christ, Crystal and Vince and their 4 kids enjoy spending time outdoors, going to the beach, playing basketball, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Dallas Cowboys.
